Estrategia paso a paso
Ejemplo resuelto

Explicación
Answers: 1 many/major · 2 people · 3 borrow · 4 musical · 5 and · 6 cake · 7 with · 8 library · 9 this/that · 10 saves.
Libraries "lend", so people "borrow" (not "lend"). "Musical instruments" and "cake pans" are fixed pairs. "Th__ service" can be "This" or "That", and "saves" needs -s because "service" is singular.

Explicación
Answers: 1 sit/stand · 2 above · 3 hotspot · 4 place · 5 molten · 6 rises · 7 deep · 8 the · 9 as · 10 plate.
"A hot___" is defined right after it ("a place where molten rock rises"), so it is "hotspot", which also appears later in the text. "Molten rock" is melted rock. "As the Pacific plate moves" uses "As" meaning "while"; "plate" is the geology term for a piece of Earth's crust.

In 1969, the zoologist Robert Paine introduced the term "keystone species" for an organism whose influence on its community far exceeds its abundance. Later researchers, however, warned that the label was being applied so loosely that it risked losing its explanatory value.

Explicación
Answers: 1 removing · 2 starfish · 3 stretch · 4 rocky · 5 he · 6 that · 7 would · 8 monopolize · 9 available · 10 many.
"By remo_" needs a gerund after a preposition: removing. "a predatory star_" is starfish (the predator whose removal is described). "a str___ of rocky shoreline" is stretch ("strip" is also accepted). "h_ demonstrated" is the subject he (Paine). "th mussels wo_ rapidly monop___": that + would + monopolize (to take all of something for oneself; British "monopolise" accepted). "the avai_ space" is available, and "ma other species" is many.
